Kansas Department of Corrections: What Families Need to Know (2026)
Kansas's guide, from the department under Secretary of Corrections Jeff Zmuda, lists the state's correctional facilities and the Wichita Work Release Facility, with addresses, phone numbers, and visiting information from each facility's page. There is no statewide schedule: each facility's visit page on the department's site lists its hours, and visits are scheduled through IC Solutions at least 72 hours ahead.
One rule shapes the whole process. Once a resident is eligible for visiting privileges, the resident is responsible for getting visitors the paperwork to register, under department policy IMPP 10-113D. That means the first step is often a conversation with your loved one, not a form you can grab yourself.
Mail addresses are listed per facility, and several facilities list a P.O. Box mailing address, including El Dorado (P.O. Box 311), Ellsworth (P.O. Box 107), Hutchinson (P.O. Box 1568), Lansing (P.O. Box 2), and Norton (P.O. Box 546). The one set of hours spelled out in the guide belongs to Wichita Work Release: Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., plus Christmas Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving Day. Resident and family questions go to (785) 746-7542.

Cell Secretary is a white-glove concierge service for incarcerated people and their families. If it can be done legally and ethically on the outside, we can usually do it for you.
