Missouri Department of Corrections: What Families Need to Know (2026)
Missouri's visiting calendar is refreshingly consistent, which makes planning a trip a little easier. At most of the state's 19 adult institutions, visiting runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the guide lists each institution's address, phone number, and warden.
There are a few exceptions worth knowing. Maryville Treatment Center visits on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Ozark Correctional Center visits on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At the Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia, the schedule splits by population across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and general population residents are allowed eight visits per month.
To become a visitor, use the visitor application linked from the department's Visiting Hours page. The guide also lists the department's central office in Jefferson City. Schedules change, so even with the regular statewide pattern, call the facility to confirm before you go.

Cell Secretary is a white-glove concierge service for incarcerated people and their families. If it can be done legally and ethically on the outside, we can usually do it for you.
