Oklahoma Department of Corrections: What Families Need to Know (2026)

Planning a visit to someone in an Oklahoma state facility starts with one important rule: every visit must be scheduled in advance, and there are no walk-ins. Schedule requests must reach the Oklahoma Department of Corrections by Wednesday at 1 p.m., and every visitor must submit a Visitor Application Form. If you have questions about the process, the ODOC Visitation Unit can be reached at 405-768-3269.

Visiting hours vary by facility and by a person's security level, so there is no single statewide clock to rely on. In general, visits run 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with some facilities adding weekdays. Because schedules change, the guide's advice is simple: call the facility before you travel to confirm its current times.

The guide covers all 23 state-run facilities listed on the ODOC Facilities page, with each facility's address, phone number, and warden. Several facilities also list a separate mailing address, such as Great Plains Correctional Center in Hinton, whose mailing address is P.O. Box 700, Hinton, OK 73047. The department's central office in Oklahoma City can be reached at 405-425-2500, and its mailing address is P.O. Box 11400, Oklahoma City, OK 73136-0400.

The full guide, compiled in November 2026 from the ODOC Facilities page, lists every facility so you can find the right address and number before you make plans.

Cell Secretary is a white-glove concierge service for incarcerated people and their families. If it can be done legally and ethically on the outside, we can usually do it for you.
